Three sailboats were damaged by a fire Thursday at the Hillsmere Marina in Annapolis, the Anne Arundel Fire Department said.
Just before 11:30 a.m., fire officials arrived at the 100 block of East Bay View Drive where they found two sailboats in flames.
The fire was extinguished 32 minutes after the initial emergency call was received, , said Lt. Jennifer Macallair, a fire department spokesperson.
Aerial footagecaptured by ABC Channel 7 News showed extreme damage to the decks of two of the boats. Fire officials said a third boat also experienced exposure damage.
No injuries were reported at the marina.
Though the fire is under investigation, Macallair said the incident is being “preliminarily” considered an accident caused by an electrical source.
